When you’re tense or nervous, your body releases adrenaline. This can cause you to unconsciously appear insecure - even if you actually feel confident.

Therefore, it’s crucial to master the first few seconds of your performance consciously: stay calm, avoid sending unwanted "tells," and start with confidence.
