History

Following many years in sales and marketing at senior management level for Austrian and international companies, in 1984, Dr. Emil Hierhold began working as a consultant and as a communication and presentation skills trainer. The constant optimisation of his training methods and rhetorical skills enabled him to establish himself as market leader in presentation training skills in Austria.

Given his impressive client base in Austria and Central Europe, he ultimately founded HPS in 1990: THE specialist institute for presentations. Having gradually grown the business through the use of licensed trainers, in 2002, Dr. Hierhold sold a majority shareholding in HPS and handed over the role of Managing Director. However, he maintains very close ties to the company.

He is the author of several books on the subject, and his German-language books have become highly respected standard reference texts on this subject.

The range of training offered by HPS is now supplemented by our Executive Specials in which Prof. Hierhold advises top executives in the role of a trainer / coach. He regularly publishes his recent experiences and new findings, as well as tips and tricks on his specialised areas of Executive Coaching, Strategic Messages and Personal Presence, on his website at www.hierhold.com.
